(1 ) What is Reverse Osmosis?
Reverse Osmosis is the reversal of the natural flow of osmosis. In a water purification system, the goat is not to dilute the salt solution, but to separate the pure water from the salt and other contaminants. When the natural osmotic flow is reversed, water from the salt solution is forced through the membrane of porosity 0.0001 mic, in the opposite direction by application of external pressure-thus the term REVERSE OSMOSIS. Through this process, we are able to produce pure water by screening out the salts and other contaminants.
(2) What is maintenance schedule of DISPRO products?
The three pre-filter cartridges should be changed every 1 year. The first is a 5 micron sediment cartridge. The second is a Carbon Cartridge. The third is a 1 micron sediment filters. (some system comes with the Extruded carbon filter) Failure to change the cartridge every 6 months may allow chlorine to destroy the membrane. It is very easy to change the prefilters. Just order the needed filters from us and all system come with the housing wrench to open the fitter housings so you can maintain your system yourself and feel confident about your drinking water.
(3) What contaminants does Reverse Osmosis Remove?
The DISPRO System contains a quality carbon filter which will remove more than 99% of organic chemicals from the water. These include THMs(chloroform), DBCP, lindane, TCEs(trichloroethylene), PCEs(tetrachroroethylene), carbon tetrachloride chlorine, In addition to these organic chemicals, all the TD S removed by the TFC membrane.
The 1981 report of World Health Organization, Geneva reports "Water collected for domestic use often becomes decontaminated or further contaminated by unsafe consumer storage and handling practices at the household level and is at the high risk by various pathogenic viruses, bacteria and parasites causing infectious diseases."
Therefore RO Water Safe Storage can lead to dramatic improvements in drinking water quality and reduction in diarrheal disease. Assurance of drinking-water safety is a foundation for the prevention and control of waterborne diseases.
Water can affect people's health via food preparation, direct human use for drinking or for hygiene. After all H2O = LIFE!!
Presently, in RO System ABS plastic tanks is used for storage of water for drinking purpose. The water from this tanks is not hygienic for consumption mainly because the material these tanks are made of is porous, which helps the growth of bacteria, fungus and algae. In addition, it is a challenge to clean these tanks regularly and thoroughly. Hence the present method of storage of water for potable purpose is very harmful for human consumption.
Dispro provide SS304 storage tank in which no rust or corrode hence water is hygienically clean and No growth of bacteria in the stored water.
